The ELRO FF0404 fire prevention set consists of a number of essential products to protect your home against fire damage in one go. This way you will be alerted in time when a fire breaks out or when the toxic carbon monoxide gas is detected. And if a small fire has arisen, you can extinguish it quickly and safely with the fire blanket.

The ELRO FS1805M smoke detectors ensure that you receive a timely warning in case of fire. These detectors come supplied with a useful magnetic assembly set so you do not need to drill any holes nor use any screws during the installation. Additionally, this ELRO detector has a battery which lasts at least 3 years.

These ELRO smoke detectors are equipped with high-quality optical sensors. These sensors react quickly to fire, have reduced false alarms and is very environmentally friendly. In case of fire, the smoke detector gives off a loud alarm of up to 85 dB. The ELRO FS1805M is compliant with the European standard EN14604. Additionally, ELRO provides a 5-year warranty on this smoke detector.

• ELRO Carbon monoxide detector - 10-year sensor

The ELRO FC4002 carbon monoxide detector ensures you are timely warned with the presence of the toxic carbon monoxide gas. This gas is odorless and invisible, so it cannot be detected without a device. Carbon monoxide is caused by incomplete combustion and can occur in your chimney, geyser or central heating boiler.

This detector from ELRO has a high quality electrochemical sensor, which constantly measures the concentration of carbon monoxide in the air. If the concentration is too high, the detector produces a loud alarm of 85 dB. The ELRO FC4510 complies with the European standards EN50291-1: 2010 and EN50291-1A1: 2012. ELRO also provides a 5-year warranty on this detector.

With the ELRO FB1300 Fire Blanket you can easily extinguish small fires in and around your home. Thanks to its handy packaging, you can easily hang the fire blanket anywhere in your home where a fire could occur. When a fire starts, pull the two handles and then put the blanket on top of the fire, which will take away its oxygen, extinguishing the fire easily and safely. The advantage of this fire blanket compared to a fire extinguisher is that the fire is extinguished without leaving residues such as powder or foam.

Use and Installation

• Smoke Detectors

The FS1805M smoke detectors by ELRO come supplied with a magnetic assembly set. This set ensures that placing the smoke detectors is a piece of cake. The assembly set consists of 2 strong magnetic discs with high quality adhesive strips. You place one of the magnetic discs on the smoke detector and the other on the ceiling. Finally, you click the smoke detector with the magnetic disc to the ceiling.

We recommend placing at least one smoke detector on each floor of your home. Always place a smoke detector on the ceiling. The best places to place a detector are part of your escape route, for instance in the corridor, the landing and stairwell.

• Carbon Monoxide Detectors

The FC4002 carbon monoxide detector from ELRO is delivered with all the necessary fixing material. With this set you can easily attach the detector with screws to your ceiling.

For optimal performance, place the detector approximately 1.5 metres from the floor on the wall. Make sure it remains at least 1.85 m out of reach of a combustion device.

• Fire Blanket

The ELRO fire blanket is a safe and very effective product to extinguish a starting fire. To extinguish incipient fires, it is important to be able to react quickly, so hang the blanket in spaces where a fire could possibly start, or a place where you can easily reach it.

In case of fire, pull the handles to remove the blanket from the package. Next, place the blanket on top of the burning object and make sure that the sides are closed. The blanket is made of a woven fibreglass with a silicone coating that ensures that all the oxygen is removed from the source of fire.

Leave the blanket on top of te fire for a few minutes to ensure the fire is extinguished. Discard the blanket after use.

Maintenance

To ensure the optimal operation of the smoke detector, it is important to keep it clean. The easiest way is to clean it once a month with the vacuum cleaner. Never use detergents when cleaning detectors. Additionally, we recommend you to test the functions of the smoke detector every month by pressing the test button.

• Carbon Monoxide Detectors

• Fire Blanket

Remove the fire blanket from the package and unfold it completely. Check the blanket for damage or differences in the colouring. Also check that the handles are still firmly attached to the blanket. Discard the blanket if you find damage on it.
