What Does a Gas Detector Do?
A gas detector protects you in your home, garage, or camper against dangerous gases. The presence of gases is measured by the gas detector. Of course, it is possible that something has started leaking, causing certain gases to be released. Without a detector, you may be confronted with the serious consequences of one of these gases.
Installation and Maintenance
Most gases in the home occur in a room with a gas appliance. This is usually in the kitchen. Install the detector easily on the wall, approximately 30 centimetres from the ceiling. For optimal performance, it is important that the gas detector remains clean. It is easy to clean by vacuuming the detector once a month. In addition, we also recommend testing the functions of the gas leak detector every month.
Where Should You Not Install a Gas Detector?
There are, of course, also places where it is better not to install a gas detector. For example, damp rooms such as bathrooms or showers, directly next to the cooker, next to a smoke outlet, behind curtains, or inside a cupboard. In these places, a gas detector will not work optimally and may lead to dangerous situations or false alarms.
